Benjamin Rosete, 84, of Hilo died March 13 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Keaau, he was a retired X-ray technician supervisor at Hilo Medical Center and drummer in the Hawaii County Band and other local bands, fisherman and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by wife, Susan Rosete of Hilo; son, Benjamin Rosete Jr. of Hilo; sister, Mercedes Abiley of Kapolei, Oahu; brother, Pedro (Siri) Factora of Honolulu; stepbrother, Anthony (Laura) Rosete of Hawaiian Acres; three granddaughters; nephews, nieces and cousins. Daw May Yu, 85, of Hilo died March 27 at home. Born in Myanmar, she was a housewife. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Monday (April 2) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Survived by daughter, Kyin (Tin Ngwe) Kyin of Myanmar; sons, Soe (Ni Ni Aye) Myint of Myanmar, Soe Aung of California and Soe (Thi Thi Thein) Win of Hilo; five grandsons and four granddaughters.
